Communications Strategist


A lot of people would call this job an Account Executive or AE. We see it as something a little bigger. 

We want someone who is the guitarist and lead singer. Out front and adding their own melody to the drum beat of the entire band. 

And  if we advertised for a guitarist, the interviews would be more fun but the end product??? 

That’s why we’re looking for a Communications Strategist. Someone who can build a strategy and help the team bring it to life. 

And if you can wail on the six string? All the better.

Your Method – A Communications Strategist should:

  • Build relationships & collaborate with clients
  • Develop & manage internal campaign timelines, deliverables & results
  • Support with content creation
  • Provide solutions for the organization to help deliver great work
  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions based on sound data and insights
  • Manage client advertising projects based on proposals and budgets
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables for on time delivery
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages creativity, top performance and high morale by reinforcing standards and establishing new initiatives
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Track and chart trends to help the company plan for short and long-term goals
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Establish and maintain alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Support organizational communication and discussion around how to make our company and work better

Your Tasks – Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Meeting with clients to discuss strategy and tactical needs
  • Developing briefs and communicating with team members
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously with varying timelines
  • Being detail-oriented with an eye for consistency across all brand elements
  • The ability to embrace feedback from colleagues and clients and create smart solutions
  • Coordinating deliverables with art directors, writers, developers and social media managers
  • Presenting work externally for approval

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Communications, Journalism, PR, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience
  • Salary commensurate with experience
