At Oyster we are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Director of Social Media to lead our social media department, create strategy, and drive execution across agency clients. 

This senior-level role will be responsible for developing innovative content strategies, managing a team of content creators and community managers, and aligning social efforts with business goals. You will serve as a key voice of the brand in the digital space and play a pivotal role in shaping our public presence and engagement.

 



Responsibilities:
Developing strategy. Concepting ideas. Bringing them to life. Caring about our clients’ business like it’s your own.

  • Oversee social media budget and allocate resources effectively for paid campaigns, tools, and personnel.
  • Develop and own the social media strategy across all channels to drive awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Lead and manage the social media team, including content creators, community managers, and analysts.
  • Oversee content planning and production to ensure timely, on-brand, and audience-relevant storytelling.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs using social analytics tools and adjust strategies based on insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, PR, creative, customer service, and other departments to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
  • Serve as a digital brand guardian, maintaining consistent voice and tone across platforms.
  • Stay current on social trends, algorithms, emerging platforms, and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with influencers, partners, and social media platforms.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy.
  • Proven success managing large-scale social campaigns and teams.
  • Deep understanding of analytics, reporting tools, and audience insights.
  • Exceptional communication, creative, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in crisis management and social media moderation.

  • Salary range: $85,000-95,000

  • Remote-to-Hybrid Role, Thursdays in office in Lawrenceville
