Production Artist

CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FILL THIS ROLE

Digital might be king, but print is far from dead. 

We’re looking for a Production Artist with a scary level of attention to detail and  the technical knowledge and ability to create production ready files for print and digital applications.

You’ll work directly with graphic designers, art directors, copywriters and proofreaders to bring visual communications to life.


Your Method – To get specific, we’re looking for someone who can:

  • Provide production support in collaboration with the creative team, clients, partners, project managers and other constituents as required
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the brand standards and is responsible for how to properly build, maintain and distribute assets of brands
  • Proof all products for accuracy and maintain high quality standards
  • Stay updated on design and production innovations in the industry
  • Work well as part of a team, with a range of people

Your Tasks – Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Creating organized production files from concept art and templates provided by graphic designers
  • Maintaining large multi-page production design projects with highly technical information
  • Providing proofs for review and implementation changes
  • Maintaining an organized archive of final files
  • Ensuring accurate layout and electronic files according to specifications.
  • Inspecting and verifying the correctness of production files prepared by other designers
  • Color correcting imagery
  • Creating successful die lines for custom printing applications
  • Managing multiple projects on varying timelines at the same time
  • Taking designs and reformat them to fit into multiple touchpoints
  • Providing detail oriented skill with an eye to consistency across all brand elements
  • Coordinating deliverables with art directors, writers, developers and social media managers

What you should bring to the Crew: 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with various printing methods, including file setup for proper finishing.
  • Understanding of 4-color process printing, spot color printing, and printing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical calculation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in internet usage and email communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Thick rimmed glasses, turtle necks, coffee addiction, sneakers, large headphones, and a love of all things Apple. A bonus but not a requirement!
